Being a stay at home mom, you don't really get a "Spring Break", so I decided to take it upon myself and go on an extra long Spring Break vacation! I was able to go home for two weeks, and as always I had a great time with my family. I couldn't believe how much snow they still had and I am hoping it all melts before my next visit! I was a little disappointed that Kacie decided not to have her baby a week early so I could be there to see the new babe...oh well. Anyways, it's just always so nice to be home with my fam, but Josh decided he can't handle his "girls" being away for that long again (I think mostly because he went on a strictly cereal diet while I was gone j/k). Then, when I got back from Idaho, we took a weekend trip to Kentucky. We went to the Louisville Slugger baseball museum and factory, and we also went to Mammoth Caves. Okay, the caves were awesome, but I must say when the grown lady in front of me started to freak out and cry and ended up going back to the bus after only stepping into the cave, I started to get a little nervous. We went REALLY far down tons of stairs to get to the actual cave tunnels. The caves are supposedly the longest in the world (or something like that) and the two hour tour proved to be a little much for Bailee who ended up falling asleep in my arms. The end of the tour was the "Frozen Niagra" which the picture of the stalacmites doesn't do it justice. Anyways the wigwam or tee pee (I don't know the difference) was Josh's surprise to me, and boy was I surprised, cause this was our "hotel". The plaster wigwam "newly renovated" (that term seems to be used more loosely each year) consisted of the original 1930 furniture, a bed, TV and small bathroom. I was skeptical at first but then Josh reminded me of my heritage (Pocahontas is my 14th great grandma) so I decided to suck it up (okay so Josh didn't really say that but she really is my g-ma :) Josh is always keeping things interesting that is for sure, there are so many things I have done in my life that if it weren't for him I would have never experienced, and this was definitely one I will never forget.

Cute vs. Not so cute
Lately, my sweet little Bailee has been making the saddest, ugliest pouty face. She sticks her bottom lip out and scrunches up her face and even though she wants us to know she is not happy with something, I can't help but laugh, and wonder "Where did she learn how to do that!?"

Uh Oh!
Okay, so whenever Bailee gets anything on her skin that she know shouldn't be there (marker, pen, etc.), she will say "Uh oh" and continues repeating it and pointing to it until you clean it off. She also does this to other people with "marks" she doesn't think belong. Josh has a mole on the side of his face that Bailee will point to with a concerned look on her face and say "Uh oh"! We thought it was pretty funny...that is until last night. Josh was standing in line at Subway. The guy in front of them was pretty much a walking tatoo, with all his exposed skin covered in tatoos. Well, it didn't take long for Bailee to notice that this guy had "drawn" all over himself and she pointed to him and kept saying "Uh oh". Needless to say the guy obviously heard and Josh was embarassed, but hey, what do you do?!

XOXOXOXOX!
What can I say, LOVE is in the air at our house! Bailee is always so full of love! She gives everyone and everything kisses, including fake babies, real babies (Clara and Jeter...who enjoyed it :), and a big smooch coming your way! We just wanted to wish you all a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY...PUCKER UP!

Shop Til' You Drop!
Yesterday some friends and I decided to brave the freezing cold weather and head down to the outlets. As you can clearly tell, Bailee was thrilled to go shopping in such pleasant weather. By the end of the day Bailee could handle no more. I was a little disappointed in her endurance, I guess we'll have to work on that. I remember many a shopping trip when my mom almost had me in tears because I was so tired and could shop no more. I am sure some of you know what I am talking about when I say that I was even doing the tired shopping walk where your legs and feet are completely limp and you some how pick up your foot and put it down again, just so you can keep up with your mom so you don't lose her. Funny though, because this happens so often to our family (my mom just out shopping us and eventually losing her) that we came up with a game called "Where's Valdo" (you know, like "Where's Waldo" but with Valerie). Pretty much whoever finds her first wins and gets to cuss her out about not having her cell phone, etc. What can I say, you gotta love her...she's the best!!! p.s. I bet you cant guess what Bailee's favorite color is ?!

Parenting 101...
Everybody knows that you can fix anything with Duct tape...even your child's bad habits ;) Josh had had enough of Bailee picking up her bowl and dumping the food out (which happens faithfully at every meal). So, as you can see, Josh got the bright idea to tape her bowl to her high chair tray...genius, sheer genius...only Bailee just looked at it and ripped the tape off. hahaha Well, he only did it for a good laugh which I had, however Bailee didn't think it was too funny!

Bailee's New Best Friend!
I'm sure as most kids do, Bailee loves animals, her favorite being dogs. For Christmas I decided to get her a puppy. No, of course not a real dog, but a remote control one. Sad to say, that will be the closest she gets to having a pet. Anyhow, it barks and walks (real slow) but she just loves the little mut.
